As the name, the garden is built by the Mughals. Spread over a vast area of 15 acres, it is the soul of the Presidential palace. Sir Edwin Lutyens had designed the Mughal garden.
It opens for the general public every year in the month of February to march. Every year you can find a variety of roses, tulips, bonsais and over 70 types of seasonal flowers.
In this beautiful garden, you will find carpets of flowers like a pink parfait, dahlia, marigold and many more.
Roughly this garden is divided into parts. A corner of this contains a herb and bonsai garden, a garden having plants of all religion. Organic veggies and fruits from this garden make your eyesight pleasure.
The whole area consists of the rarest type of flowers and greenery. Rose, the king of flowers, also rule here over all the beautiful flower.
Being the prime flower here, 159 variety of roses are there. The varieties are also named after many international celebrities like Mother Teresa, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Mr Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, Jawahar, Queen Elizabeth, Christien Dior and Taj Mahal others.
Apart from roses, tulips and dahlia, other seasonal flowers also beautify this garden. There are more than 70 varieties of seasonal flowers and winter flowers here. The grass that covers the whole garden having eye-catching greenery was brought from Kolkata when the Mughal garden was planted.
Inside the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Mughal garden Delhi is one of the most beautiful place you will ever visit. Having wonderful flowers, shrubs, fountain and herbs, it offers a treat to your eyes that you will never forget.
In the centre of this arena, it has a fountain which soothing atmosphere. There are many fountains also. Water having no colour but it is a source of beauty. Different shapes and different designs of all fountains covered by the different colour of beautiful flowers and leaves make a heavenly look. The centre of garden has a pond has a bubbling fountain and having beautiful Lotus flowers and which is edged with marigold and calendula.
When you will walk you will confused, should you walk or should stay at one place as each and every part of this garden has its own beauty and existance.
Although the camera is not allowed, the mobile phone can be used there to capture some unforgettable moments.

One can realise the wonderful creation of nature as this one place contain almost every part of nature like flowers, water, fruits and herbs.
This garden has also a religion section which contains the trees of Tulsi(herb), Ashoka(Mata Sita stayed in Lanka beyond this tree), Amla etc. Each element describes its importance by a note. You will find a written note in front of every tree, flower or fruits. It is named spiritual garden having almost 40 different plants and trees like Bamboo, Khair, Heena, Sandalwood, Butter tree etc.
There is also a section for the child where they can play and enjoy.
Because of the beautiful construction of this garden, thousands of tourists visit this royal garden every year.

The garden has a very unique structure. You must visit many gardens but you'd not have seen something like the Mughal garden of Delhi. If you want to witness the true beauty of Nature, you must make a plan to visit the Mughal garden. It opens only for one month in every year between Feb to March. So, you need to make your plan accordingly. This is a perfect place for a family tour in the spring season.

- This garden opens for one month only. So plan your trip accordingly.
- Book ticket online before one day your visit to avoid standing in queue for hours.
- Read instructions properly before the visit so you will avoid carrying the banned item like a camera, bottles, purses, radio, umbrella etc.
- Nearest metro station: Central Secretariat.
- Visiting time is 9 AM to 4 PM.
- Entry fee is zero.
- On Monday, the garden remains closed because of maintenance purpose.
